Trunk or Treat, a community costume crawl with a one-mile fun run or a 5k to participate in, a costume contest with prizes and more are just a few of the things on offer at the “YMCA Presents: Friday the 13th Community Spooktacular,” an event being held at the YMCA of the Coastal Bend at 417 S Upper Broadway on Oct. 13. The Spooktacular will be held at the Y from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will be free and open to the public. Dress for the occasion as your favorite character or ghoul and have a family night out with us. Have a great time with local food trucks, a live DJ and fun games as we transform the Y into a Halloween wonderland. All membership join fees during the month of October will be donated to the American Cancer Society. So come on down to your local Y for some family friendly, spooky fun and stay tuned for the rest of our events coming in October.
